Linda Luiks’ series ‘TEMPTATION’ from 2025 explores a subject that touches us every day: our food.

Through, among other works, an installation of twelve colourful, illuminated cans — inspired by Andy Warhol’s iconic Campbell’s Soup Cans — Linda offers a critical reflection on ultra-processed food. Where Warhol celebrated the beauty and absurdity of mass production in the 1960s, Linda reveals the darker side of that same process in our own time.

At first glance, the work appears playful, vibrant and pop-art inspired. But on closer inspection, it carries a warning. The cans have burst open, as if they have exploded from within. Bright, unnatural light radiates from the cracks — a visual metaphor for the chemical processes, artificiality and seduction hidden behind the glossy packaging of our everyday food.

Linda works with wood, acrylic paint, epoxy and LED light. Her aim is to evoke wonder, to confront, and to draw attention to the food we consume. Through colour and form, she searches for beauty, while also creating a critical layer that invites reflection on what we eat and how it affects our health.
